It is becoming more and more common to request “SECONDARY MARKET” in Turkey. When compared to the same period in 2021, residential real estate second-hand sales climbed by 45% in the second quarter of 2022. According to figures gathered from the Association TÜGEM, this information was published on the professional analytical real estate portal Endeksa.

As we’ve already indicated, the number of secondary transactions climbed by almost half when compared to the same time last year, and by 30% when compared to the first quarter of 2022. 72% of the total volume of housing sales happened all at once as a result.

Residential real estate prices in Turkey rose 182% year over year as of the end of the second quarter of this year. The going rate for a square meter was 9979 Turkish lira on average (TL). The price of homes has increased the greatest during the past year in the provinces of Istanbul, Antalya, and Mersin.

The “secondary market” was also sold in the country considerably better than the “primary market” in the spring, specifically by the end of April.

It did, in fact, outperform demand previous year, albeit in lower volumes.
